Who founded this site?
Hi, my name is Phyllis Pang. I am a Malaysian Chinese. I was born in a small town called Ipoh. It is one of the food paradise in Malaysia and it has many limestones hills & caves due to the karstic formation around it. I am currently staying in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I like travelling, exploring culture of different countries, knowing people from all over the world and exchanging the differences and commonalities in life.
I always wanted to live my life to the fullest and enrich my life experiences in order to lead a life without regret. I have spent about two years in UK to further my studies and took the opportunities to backpack alone around UK and other countries. The backpacking and homestay program that I undertook in UK have certainly gave me a different perspective on traveling.
Why created this site?
My passion in travelling, nature and culture exploration have inspired me to create this website to develop my interests in responsible travel or sustainable tourism. This website is founded in 2007. I found that traveling is not merely a life enrichment experiences but a journey of discoveries. It is also a life learning process where one could actually interact with the nature and the people around of the world. That makes travelling more memorable and meaningful due to understanding and interaction with the locals.
Besides that, Volunteer travel is another way of helping others and spreading love to others by carrying out some local community service. This is certainly amazing. Thus, I created this website to share my personal travel experience and also provide more information about the countries in Asia for travellers. Besides that, I hope that this website could create a better understanding among people living around the world through this interactive platform (blog/forum) to create a more harmonize environment for the future generations.
